RRB NTPC Preparation Tips: How to Study Smart

July 21, 2026

Treat each section differently

RRB NTPC's three core areas — Mathematics, General Intelligence & Reasoning, and General Awareness — reward completely different study methods. Maths and Reasoning improve through repeated practice and speed drills; General Awareness improves through consistent daily exposure over time, not last-minute cramming.

Daily current affairs, not last-week current affairs

General Awareness questions often draw from recent months, so build a daily habit (even 15–20 minutes) of reviewing current affairs well before your exam date, rather than trying to absorb months of news in your final week.

Speed matters as much as accuracy

Both CBT stages are timed, and Mathematics/Reasoning sections in particular reward speed. Once your accuracy on a topic is solid, shift your practice toward solving it faster — timed topic-wise drills followed by full-length timed mocks are the most effective way to build this.
